i finally deployed this site!

i'd been putting off putting together the actual infra for this site for a little while because i had other things on. today i finally sat down and set up a basic deployment pipeline from codeberg to a Hetzner machine.

thanks to microsoft for incentivising me to finally figure out how to build this stuff by myself.

three months in at duna

i joined duna at the start of january. we're solving some really interesting problems in a domain that isn't super-well served currently.

there's a bunch of programming language work cropping up because of the fairly unique way we're building our systems, which is naturally great news for me.

i'm really loving it so far! i was worried i wouldn't enjoy working in typescript, but working with a proper type system again after a few years in ruby & go is a real treat.

i'm readjusting to edinburgh

it's nice here! quieter than berlin, in good & bad ways. i'm enjoying doing comedy a bunch, and being able to walk most places. there's some really great coffee here too.
